Acceptable image file types are JPG, GIF and PNG.

Adequate video file types include AVI and MP4.

1. Upload to theBox, which will let you to search for the uploaded image in other Moodle text editors.
2. Upload to Moodle.

To upload and link image to Moodle via theBox:

1. In whatever Moodle action where the text editor exists (e.g. when adding a forum post) click the Paradigm icon .
2. Click theFind or upload an image... push.
3. In the File picker window, choosetheBox from the left hand side.

   

4. Cull your file by:
   1. Clicking theSelect your file button and browse for your file on your calculator. OR
   2. Drag and drop the file into the window.
   
   
5. Choose the properCopyright setting for the image.

   

6. Click theSalvebutton.

   

7. The file will now exist uploaded to theBox (Beta).
8. Enter a clarification for the image and click theInsert push button.

   

9. The image file will at present be uploaded.  Please ensure you stop completing the activity you were working on.

To upload to specific Moodle merely:

1. Within the text editing box, click the Insert/edit image icon  in the third row of functions.

   

2. In the Insert/edit epitome window, click Detect or upload an prototype.

   

3. In the File picker, click Upload a file, and then Browse.

   

4. In the Cull file window, browse for and select the file, and then click Open.

   

5. In the File picker:

• • Enter a name for the file to Save as in the repository.
  • Adjust author and license details if necessary.
  • Click Upload this file.
  
  

6. In the Insert/edit epitome window, the Image URL displays and the epitome displays in the Preview box.

• • Enter an Image description to display to users who apply screen readers.
  • Click Insert. The image displays in the text editor. Once y'all have saved your changes to this page, the prototype will brandish with any other content entered in the text editor, when a user clicks the link for the item.

Insert a video

To upload and link to a video or audio file:

1. In any Moodle activity where the text editor exists (due east.one thousand. when adding a forum post) click the top left expand icon and select theMoodle Media icon .
2. Click the Find or upload a audio, video or applet... button.

   

3. In theFile picker window, culltheBox from the left manus side.

   

4. Choose your file by:

8. The audio or video file volition now be uploaded.  Please ensure you end completing the activity you were working on.

Annotation: If you have uploaded a video it will not be available immediately merely will be transcoded by the organization and then that it's viewable in the web browser.

Copy images between text editors

Do y'all want the same image to display in two places in your Moodle form? If and so, yous cannot reproduce it past copying the paradigm's URL from the HTML source code and paste it into a second text editor. That URL is for a temporary file that exists for a single instance of the text editor. The link will break if yous cut and paste it into a second text editor.
